Rockstar Games recently updated its mod and roleplay server policy and has sent twitter in a panic spiral. In this video Blaustoise, ex game developer, explains what these updates mean for the future of NoPixel 3.0 and other roleplaying servers in the current grand theft auto game and GTA 6.

03.06.2023For me most of RP players are those who cheated and got ban in gta online and turned to RP and kept saying shit to Rockstar for banning them. I dont like rockstar but RP players deserves whatever coming to them

04.02.2023It will be difficult for them to crack down on all RP Servers.Anyone can download an RP servers open source code and host their own GTA server.I used to do it as a 12 year old kid on RuneScape 🤣🤣🤣

30.11.2022The only reason I bought the game and tried it out was watching RP, I'm probably not alone in that so they at least make a little bit off of it. I think its a similar effect to lets plays, its another form of press and its probably not the most lucrative but it also doesnt cost them anything. And I liked it so I'm excited for the next one now and will buy that when it comes out.

30.11.2022I think gta rp does make money for rockstar, but not much money. 100% people see gta rp and need to buy gta v in order to play gta rp themselves. How many people? not many I think. maybe less that 10% of people. So if rockstar took down the rp servers I think they'd barely feel a dent.

30.11.2022My only caviot is a lot of games say you do not own your account or the items you have collected. They are an entity of the parent company and you are borrowing them essentaly.

30.11.2022— This is actually surprisingly good RL insight for a content creator on YouTube .

29.11.2022Rockstar is shutting down RP servers while adding new unnecessary policies to explore these servers and what they offer to try and understand WHY we love these amazing creations so they can apply it to their new game because they never actually take the time to give what we’ve expected for the last decade . I don’t see myself wrong here , and I see no logical reason for ROCKSTAR to shut down these servers that people have worked so hard to create while Rockstar meanwhile was busy with their constant DLC releases ($).

29.11.2022FiveM literally Violate the revenue rule by selling 64 Slot servers with Onesync. At the end of the day FiveM could get shut down any minute,

29.11.2022I feel like they did this so they can shut down all the servers when gta 6 comes out. They are going to slowly shut down servers so they can be like we told you in advanced and kept giving you reminders.

29.11.2022technically you don’t buy anything you “donate” your money

29.11.2022If RockStar implements scripting and standalone servers with licensing. We gladly create that kind of servers and pay them %. If there is a legit way to do this I thing whole community would gladly do it. Everybody wins.

29.11.2022To play fivem you need to buy GTA, so rockstar still getting profit from fivem, not like the servers owners said but still
